Greetings, fellow TPAA students. We all know prom is just around the corner and we could not be more excited. I wonder how prom was like before our high school time? Lucky for us, we have teachers who remember their prom experience. We have teachers who have been to prom from the 80’s, the 90’s, and most importantly the 2000’s .
Our first teacher is the one and only Mr. Hendricks. So buckle up TPAA students as we are about to take a blast to the past. Mr. Hendricks only went to his senior prom, but as he sat at home for his junior prom the kids got snowed in and had to stay the night. Anywho, for his senior prom he had quite a commute; it was a 45 minute drive to prom. Mr. Hendricks went to prom with his lovely childhood friend. After prom, his crew went on to an after prom get together where a not-so-good band played, and they formed a mosh pit. Mr. Hendricks feels that prom is better when you have a date and what makes it special is it is one of the last opportunities you have to be with all of your school friends.
Did I mention that Mr. Hendricks went to prom (1994) with Mr. Jennings? Childhood friends are teaching together, AWWW!!! #DreamTeam.
That brings us to our next teacher Mr. Jennings. Now Mr. Jennings one-upped Mr. Hendricks and went to both senior and junior prom. He said that he had lots of fun at prom, which might I add was located in Mammoth, CA. He added that is was a pretty memorable night. This math teacher broke tradition and went to prom without wearing a tux. Well isn’t that something?

Awwww Don’t they look cute?
We can’t talk about Mr. Hendricks without talking about his beautiful wife Mrs. Hendricks. Mrs. Hendricks attended both her junior and senior prom. She said her prom was super fun and her favorite part was walking into the fancy ballroom. Mrs. Hendricks reused a dress but put a twist to it; she removed the sleeves and added colored accessories, where she then laced it and made it look like a different dress. Go Mrs. Hendricks! Her senior prom to her was more comfortable and fun due to the fact that she knew what to expect. For her junior prom, she went in a group. For her senior prom, she went with her boyfriend but later ditched him to dance on chairs with her girlfriends. She thinks that it was a night to remember but there are many other high school memories.
Well Griffins, I hope this made you even more excited for prom then before. Have an amazing time at prom! For those who are not going, at least you have something to look forward to!
