If you haven’t heard of the critically acclaimed film La La Land, then you should go and check it out. It is a vibrant musical with a catchy soundtrack, that most likely won’t get out of your head for a couple of days.
For fans of this Oscar-winning movie, do you want to see Director of La La Land Damien Chazelle, the colorful composer Justin Hurwitz, the production designers David and Sandy Wasco, jewelry designer Kyle Chan and choreographer Mandy Moore?
It was recently announced by the Mayor of Los Angeles that April 25th is officially going to be La La Land Day. Anyone can head on to Los Angeles City Hall for the dedication ceremony at 8:30 a.m. There will be a live jazz band, aerial dancers that will perform a medley that is based on the movie, and the people mentioned above.
“Why is Los Angeles doing this?”, you might be asking. Well, the city did provide most of the background, which must have not been easy. The city closed many public areas and landmarks. They take pride in the movie. La La Land was the film to pick the city up in terms of tourism. The city has a better connotation and is once again recognized for being the land of dreamers. So, having a day dedicated to the movie is the least that they can do.
