As all of you know the TPAA talent show (which was wonderfully put together by ASB) was held on April 26th in the cafeteria. This article is going to give you insight on what went on; both onstage and backstage. So as people were hurdling in to get their voting ticket and seats, the contestants were getting ready to show TPAA what their talent was. There was a lot stress backstage due to the fact that all performers were pretty nervous. First up to knock the crowd dead was Lizzy McMurray singing “Stay With Me” by Sam Smith. She had a stunning performance and the crowd loved her. Following Lizzy was the one and only 7th grader Vickie she sang a song called “Country Road” in japanese and had the crowd mesmerized by her voice and ability to sing in a different language. Next was Savannah Stallworth singing her very own song “Save Me” and playing piano, the crowd and performer was left feeling pretty emotional. After Savannah, we had Calia singing “Bound To You” by Christina Aguilera and her performance was magical. As the crowd was becoming anxious to cast their vote we had two more acts. A lovely girl who went by the name Ren played her guitar and sang “Give Me Love”; her unique voice grabbed the crowed in didn’t let them go. Last, but certainly not least, we have the band Room 40 singing “Tear In My Heart” by Twenty One Pilots, in which they ended the show on an amazing note.
At the end of the show all performers gathered together to sing one last song: Hallelujah. As the audience whipped out their cellphone flashlights, the show came to a near end. The most intense part of the whole competition was of course….the voting. As the performers all lined up on stage the winners were slowly announced by Karen Garcia.
In 3rd Place, we have Ren
In 2nd Place, we have Room 40
And In 1st place, we have…..drum roll please…..Savannah Stallworth!!
Savannah went on to do her final performance the encore and the show came to an end.
