Summer in the Sun

If you weren't able to get an internship or maybe even just have some extra time during this summer, you should do something about that. Why not join a sport or club? Although school won't be open, there are many options outside of school that are right here in the valley.

Learning a new language is a great way to spend time and exercise the mind. If you are interested and don't mind a little drive, then sign up for Italian or Japanese class! Classes will be held in Lancaster and are available to all ages.

Sports are also available during the summer. Some sports include swimming, tennis and pickleball. To register for language classes as well as sports, go here. Not into these sports? Then maybe you will enjoy some boxing at Jackie Robinson Park. There is also a work out fitness room so you can go at your own pace. If you want something more chilly, then go to Ice Station Valencia. It not in the valley but there you can skate on the ice to your heart’s content. General Admission is $11 and the skate rentals are $5. There are certain hours for public skating, for the schedule click here.
