The A.V. was in that?

Apparently our little valley has seen some celebrities and the desert background is of use to videographers. So, here are some things you might have not known took place in the A.V.

A Korean pop girl group named Red Velvet shot their music video for the song Ice Cream Cake in Palmdale. World renowned boyband, One Direction, shot their music video for Steal My Girl in Vasquez Rocks.

As for movies that have been filmed, Selena Gomez came to Palmdale around March of 2013. She was filming for the movie Spring Breakers. The Two Pines Church in Lancaster was used for the opening shots of Quentin Tarantino’s movie Kill Bill. As for fans of La La Land, did you know that some of the scenes where Mia was driving in the desert were shot here?

Man of Steel filmed at Edwards Air Force Base. The producers were kind enough to give the workers of the base tickets to an early screening of the movie. Even Superman himself was there! Henry Cavill, who plays the man of steel, signed posters for the first hundred that showed up.
