The Griffin Gazette Signs Off! (Till August)

After 7 long and hard working months of work, The Griffin Gazette is now signing off for the 2016-2017 school year. But do not worry! The Palmdale Aerospace Academy’s news site will be back for more school news coverage in the 2017-2018 school year.

The Griffin Gazette was the very first news source for the academy, making Mr. Warford’s second period journalism class a group that will forever be remembered in TPAA history. The idea of a news site came from a simple idea Mr. Warford had. After that seed was planted, it blossomed into an entity filled with voices of creative thoughts expressed by the 20 juniors and seniors in the journalism class. These students diligently hunted for stories pertaining to not only our school, but also local and world events. Hours of working on coverage stories slowly turned into weeks, then months, and now we are only 1 week away from the end of the school year.

All of this hard work was for the purpose of you, the readers. The Griffin Gazette wants to thank you all for taking the time to check out the website. The many interviews, announcements on school activities, reviews, were all for the purpose of helping TPAA students or faculty members out, and we do hope that our coverage did aid of any problems that you faced.

We all hope to see you come back next school year to check out our new and improved website! The 2017-2018 edition of the Gazette will contain a lot of fixed issues that some readers faced when on the website (slow loading, bad links, etc). A new group of writers will also be introduced to the coverage of school news. Journalism 1 will house brand new students learning the criterias of Journalism, while Journalism 2 students will get working right away on The Griffin Gazette.

The new school year will be one of fantastic new changes and brand new creative minds writing. Thank you all who spent their year reading The Griffin Gazette, and see you next school year for a continuation of our TPAA coverage!
